Nissan is significantly expanding their manufacturing capacity for electric vehicles through a $2.4 billion investment to add a gigafactory in the UK. The Japanese manufacturer plans to produce two additional EVs in their Sunderland facility to expand their offerings further, and their objective is to have an all-electric lineup in Europe by 2030. Nissan is focusing on a vision of carbon neutrality, and the new manufacturing facility will use renewable electricity from wind and solar farms.
