According to a recent survey by CDK, despite a significant interest from most automotive dealers, few have implemented AI solutions. The most commonly used solutions, Parts Inventory Predictors and Consumer Credit Predictors, were used by only 10% and 7% of dealers respectively. Dealerships would be most interested in implementing a Propensity to Buy Solutions, which predicts a buyer’s likelihood to purchase a vehicle based on their CRM profile. Despite over 90% of dealerships interested in the solution, only 4% have implemented it so far.
Moreover, 76% of all respondents have already implemented one or more AI-based applications in their dealership or plan to do so within the next three years – a 18% increase from 2021.
